(Psalm 143:8) Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you.  Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.

Psalm 143 is a psalm of David when he was in deep distress.   These words in verse 8 remind me of those first moments of the morning when I wake up.  If the stresses of yesterday are on my mind, I want to turn over and go back to sleep, but if I take time and remember that I belong to a faithful God in whom I have put my trust, I can face the day.

When I read these words of David, “Showme the way I should go.” I am reminded that I have no Idea what the day will hold.  I can imagine and plan, but I am looking blindly into the unknown future because only God knows what the day really holds.  Then, like David, I am reminded that I have entrusted my life to God.  I can rely on his guidance throughout the day.

God knows what will happen today in the lives of every person on the earth.  And He also knows the final future of exactly how this age will end.  He had John write down how those final events will occur in the book of Revelation.  No matter what you may think you’re facing today, remember this truth – only God knows.  Wisdom tells us to seek his guidance early in the day and follow his lead.
